With over 10 years of experience in education, I offer a bespoke and highly adaptable approach to tutoring. My journey in teaching began in China, where I spent two years teaching English. This international experience was valuable, teaching me how to break down cultural barriers for non-native speakers and create an engaging, immersive learning environment.
?Upon returning to the UK, I dedicated 10 years to working as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school in London focusing on children with additional needs and challenging backgrounds. My role required me to bridge the gap between the curriculum and the individual learner, ensuring that every child felt like they were making the most of their time in primary school.
?Currently, I am based in Essex, where I focus on secondary school tutoring. My current roster includes a range of students, including those preparing for their GCSEs. I understand the pressures of the secondary curriculum and aim to build both subject knowledge and exam technique.
I do not believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach; instead, I assess the specific needs, strengths, and goals of each student to create a tailored learning plan. After all, we all have our own strengths and weaknesses.
Currently, I am welcoming KS2 and KS4 students for exam preparation. I also provide summer holiday tuition to prevent 'the summer slip' and help students maintain their academic momentum.
