With over 10 years of experience in education, I offer a relaxed but effective approach to tutoring. My teaching journey began in China, where I spent two years teaching English. This international experience was invaluable, teaching me how to break down cultural barriers for non-native speakers and create an engaging, immersive learning environment.
?Upon returning to the UK, I dedicated a decade to working as a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school in London. My work focused on children with additional needs and challenging behaviour, as well as EAL (English as an Additional Language) students and those considered "gifted and talented". This role required me to bridge the gap between the curriculum and the individual, ensuring every child could maximise their potential.
?I am now based in Essex, providing secondary school tutoring for a range of students, including those preparing for their GCSEs. I understand the pressures of the secondary curriculum and aim to build both subject knowledge and robust exam techniques.
