I have been teaching English as a foreign language for over 5 years now. I spent 4 years teaching at Turkish American Association in Ankara, Turkey. I taught English to people of all ages including kids, teenagers and adults. During the pandemic most of my classes went online and for around a year I gave online lessons, so I am looking forward to teaching online again. After I left Turkey I came to the UK and I currently live and work in Liverpool. My format is more based on the student, I like my students to talk a lot and definitely talk more than me during the lesson. I like to introduce new vocabulary and get my students to use them in everyday conversation. When talking about a grammar topic I don't like to go into to all the technical details but instead use common sense to be able to understand the topic and use them in general conversation which will ultimately be useful in real life. I want to prepare my students for the real world where they will communicate with English speakers from all over the world. Hopefully, during my lessons you will gain the confidence and enthusiasm towards speaking English and feel that you are improving day by day. I will assign you small homework because it is also important to repeat what you have learned on your own. Make sure that you use your English everyday. Try to meet new people who speak English and have conversations with them. See you in the lesson!
