I try to tailor my classes to your needs. I prefer a conversational approach to teaching and try to involve interactive activities to help you improve your skills. I also make some of the more difficult aspects of the language accessible by using real world material whenever possible. This could be looking at idioms in an appropriate setting, or looking at how more complicated grammar is used in a day to day setting.
I have taught English to all ages, including business English. My specialty is teaching for exam preparation (IELTS, Cambridge, Trinity etc.). When studying for an exam, I like to give as much exam practice as possible while giving you tips and tricks to help maximize your performance. I worked as a Cambridge speaking examiner for levels A1 to C1 for four years, so I have a good understanding of what you need to do in an exam to succeed.
For business classes, I think that using a lot of role-play and task based learning helps students to be more comfortable with using certain terms and idioms that you would find in a business environment.
I usually work from a text book, and can recommend a number of textbooks to help you achieve your goals. If you would rather not use a textbook for your studies, I have a wealth of resources to help you study what you need to study. We would usually start a course with a "day 0" lesson where we can talk about what you need, and how we can help you to succeed.
