I am currently completing my PhD in Psychology at University of Cambridge and looking to do some tutoring in my free time! I have extensive experience tutoring a variety of age groups in multiple subjects, and am enthusiastic about helping students who need a little extra guidance to improve their studies and enjoy their time at school! Alternatively, I can help with specific assignments and projects if you are looking for short-term tutoring.
Tutoring Experience I have extensive experience in tutoring English (Language & Literature) from primary level to GCSE, Psychology and Sociology A-Level, undergraduate and masters level Psychology, and History, Religious Studies and Biology at GCSE and Key Stage 3 and below. I additionally have experience tutoring English as a second language and spoken English skills, as well as tutoring children as they learn to read and write for the first time. I have helped out with short-term assignments and exam prep, as well as working long-term with students to provide the extra guidance they need to improve their studies. Some of my students I have been working with for over 5 years! I also have experience working with children with alternative needs (autism and similar learning difficulties), and am happy to discuss any additional help you may need.
My Lessons I have an enthusiastic, optimistic approach to tutoring, with the belief that one-to-one time with material specifically tailored to how the student learns best, and an open, patient attitude to explaining and answering questions, will benefit any student's understanding of their studies. This learning environment is also aimed to boost the student's confidence in themselves and their ability, as this is a key element to their ability to engage with and understand new and challenging material.
