I offer personalised lessons for students in English literature, academic writing and creative writing.

My lesson structure is carefully based around your needs and tailored to the individual learner. A lesson might include essay planning, critical analysis, building up writing skills such as structure, tone and style, or critical analysis. It may be focused on coursework or university applications. I aim to build student's confidence in writing, whether that be in academic writing or creative writing. Each session is tailored to the learner's individual needs with a flexible structure. Lessons are collaborative, with practical help and clear feedback throughout to ensure learner comprehension.

I have achieved an undergraduate degree in English as well as a postgraduate degree in Publishing Media, alongside two years of tutoring experience. I am uniquely placed to facilitate lessons that build up learner confidence in English and writing in any format. Academic writing can be daunting, while creative writing can leave you with the dreaded 'blank page' effect. My aim is to build up a learner's confidence when approaching their writing, equipping them with the tools, knowledge and practical exercises that they can take with them into the future.

I have experience supporting students across all different levels and abilities, and aim to create a safe, supportive environment for learning where students are encourage to ask questions.
