As a student myself I would like to make teaching methods for my students as relatable as possible. My preferred teaching method encompasses one main format. Socratic teaching . I impliment socratic teaching by first having my students reading their text, forming their beliefs and viewpoints according to their own interpretation of the text and questioning these standpoints. In this way not only are the students critically challenged in their own understanding but also encouraged to impliment their evaluations to their interpretation into their exam writing which is what examiners look for. Simply memorising quotes isn't the point of literature, but rather the ability to transcribe the writers intentions, messages and goals into our understanding of societies throughout time.
