Hello!
I have recently completed my A-level qualifications, studying Physics, Maths, and Computer Science.
I have had experiences teaching younger children, but I like to deliver my lessns through visual aid using applications like PowerPoint and Excel.
Physics is concept-heavy, but note that 40% of the AQA Physics course is mathematics, therefore practicing with exam and practice questions are going to be a constant part of my tutoring.
I will be checking your mathematics proficiency first, to ensure that you will have the fundamental mathematics skills required to proceed with your studies. This will include an initial few sessions covering mathematical skills. Once you are comfortable with this, we will tackle Physics!
The most important thing in Physics is familiarisation and masterng fundamental concepts rather than relying on memorization, therefore a lot of my sessions will be covering the very basic things before we move on to the more complex topics.
Secondly, repetition. For each student, I will be creating a scheduled rotation for topics that we will be looking at. For example, we were looking at the classic, Quantum Phenomena: Photoelectric Effect. The first day will be looking at the core concepts, and the next will focus entirely on equations. By the third day, we will map everything out visually using presentations to identify your specific weak points. We will also clear any misconceptions about the topic and then finish off with practice questions. After finishing a few topics, I will create another bundle of questions that I can mark myself. This systematic loop ensures that no topic is ever left forgotten, which should improve your confidence as you progress through your studies.
