My lessons are designed to be flexible and tailored to each student’s needs. Generally, they fall into two types:
Teaching Sessions – Ideal for students who are learning a topic for the first time. You can let me know the topic in advance, and I will prepare clear, structured notes and materials to help you understand the core concepts. These lessons are concept-focused and designed to build a strong foundation.
Consultation Sessions – Best for students who already have specific questions or challenging problems. You can send your questions beforehand, and during the session, I’ll guide you through the solutions step-by-step. You are welcome to ask questions at any point, I’m always happy to explain or repeat anything until it makes sense.
Throughout my academic journey, I’ve learned that not being afraid to ask questions is a key to success. I make it a habit to consult my lecturers after class to clarify anything I don’t fully understand before moving on. This approach has helped me build a strong foundation in subjects like Maths and Physics, and it’s something I always encourage my peers to do as well.
I have experience as a peer mentor at my university, where I regularly support both juniors and fellow students in my year. Through this role, I’ve learned that effective teaching requires patience and empathy. I always make sure my students feel comfortable asking questions, even if it means repeating or revisiting the same topic. I am fluent in both English and Chinese, so lessons can be conducted in either language based on the student’s preference. I strongly believe that mastering a subject comes from understanding the underlying concepts, not just repetitive practice.
I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where you feel confident asking questions and exploring new ideas. If you’d like to know more or have any questions, feel free to reach out!
