I can tailor lessons dependant on student's areas of focus and needs, for example using timed drawing sessions to develop confidence in drawing and using different styles. I have experience in many mediums such as oil paint, watercolour, acrylic, pencil, charcoal, alcohol markers, mixed media, inks to name a few. As a freelance artist with paintings currently on sale I am beginning to enter the more professional side of art but will always have a love for just exploring different mediums and techniques to grow skills and confidence. I achieved a grade 9 in my GCSE so know how to understand the syllabus and get the most out of it, I have found that the more work you produce and the more you showcase your development and idea flows, the better the grade you achieve. I am very happy to take specific input from students on the areas that they are struggling in or wish to develop - equally I am happy to come up with more generalised exercises to develop skill. I can help with ideas to work towards exams and how to prepare for (and really enjoy) the exam itself. Essentially, I will work with you to focus on any area desired and suggest ways to not only get a better grade, but enjoy the process and get a lot out of it, because for me, Art GCSE was brilliant fun and provided a well needed creative outlet for me, and I would love to help others that want to succeed in this field too!
