My lessons are designed to build confidence by identifying and closing gaps in learning. We begin by assessing your current understanding, allowing me to pinpoint any key skills that may not have been fully retained. From there, I reteach essential foundations in a clear and supportive way, ensuring you feel secure before moving on to more challenging material.

You will work with a wide range of engaging texts similar to those you will encounter in your GCSE exams. Through targeted tasks and guided practice, you will develop the reading, writing, and analytical skills needed to approach exams with confidence and success.

Lessons are closely aligned with your school’s curriculum. We will study the same literature you are learning in class, while also exploring a variety of media to deepen your understanding of historical context, themes, and authorial intent. This includes a focused exploration of 19th-century poetry, examining poets’ attitudes, purposes, and the social and historical influences behind their work.

By combining strong foundations, exam-focused practice, and rich contextual understanding, my lessons aim to help you feel prepared, confident, and ready to excel.

Here is an added paragraph that flows naturally with the bio and keeps a warm, confident, and professional tone while still showing your personality:

A little bit about me;

I am an English teacher with nine years of classroom experience and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. My love for teaching comes from my own struggles at school. As a student with ADHD, I was often misunderstood and left feeling capable but unsupported. Those experiences shaped the teacher I am today. I truly believe that, with the right approach and guidance, every student can achieve their GCSEs — they just need to understand how. That’s where I come in. With commitment from both of us and a bit of hard graft, I can help you move up by at least two grades and approach your exams with confidence and clarity.
