I like interactive lessons not just passive learning. I like pupils to be involved in the learning process and look forward to their next lesson. I use a variety of resources and cater for all types of learners with their individual needs. I am enthusiastic and hopefully friendly face that encourages pupils to challenge themselves in a safe space. There will be a need to practice new skills so I would expect pupils to do some independent work, with support and guidance. I will be tutoring online, using Teams or Google Meet, unless there is a need for tutoring in and around Hereford, then I am happy to travel a short distance. Content wise will depend on what is needed: although I have taught up to KS5, I have experienced teaching all the way from KS1! In terms of experience in teaching I have a BSc in Geography. I completed my PGCE in 11-16 Geography, and have taught in a variety of schools over the last 18 years. Whilst I am mostly a Geography teacher, I have vast experience in History, RE, PHSE, English and Citizenship and recently have been teaching GCSE Maths. I am currently working in a Sixth Form college where I support students with a huge range of SEND. With my guidance and help I know your children with feel well supported, challenged and proud of their accomplishments. I believe I am a competent and supportive teacher, who can help to raise your child's abilities and skillset.
