I will spend 10 minutes listening to you tell me what you struggle with, where you get confused, or anything you need help with.
After, I will show you how I complete those types of problems, breaking it down step by step.
If you understand how I explain it, I would make you complete several questions, ranging in difficulty from easy basic level questions to university difficulty level questions.
If you don't quite understand a step I make, I would back track to a simplified version of the question or the part you don't understand, and break it down even further to the backbone structure or the problem.

Mathematics is a test of your problem solving, so I wouldn't teach you a formula to solve a question every time, but I will try to teach you how to think like a mathematician and use a more advanced level of problem solving to be able to understand how to get to the end on your own.

If I haven't worked on the section you are struggling with for in a while, I will go through the section with you, telling you how I think the section if working, e.g. if I haven't covered matrices in a while, I will try relearn matrices at the same time as you, but I will explain what they are saying in more detail.

My best topics in mathematics are calculus, differential equations, binomial theorem, complex numbers and number theory, however, I teach any level from elementary to pre-university.
