Im a 3rd year economics student at Cardiff University. I achieved an A in A level maths, and a 9 in GCSE Maths. I love teaching and have 2 years experience tutoring GCSE Maths students.

My GCSE Maths lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts first, then reinforcing this through exam-style practice and problem-solving.

Lessons typically begin with a quick recap of previous topics to ensure everything is fully understood, followed by step-by-step explanations of new material. I break down complex topics into manageable parts and use worked examples to show exactly how to approach different types of questions. Students are then given the opportunity to practise with guidance, before gradually working more independently.

I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to interpret questions, structure their answers, and avoid common mistakes. We regularly work through past paper questions to build confidence and familiarity with the GCSE exam format.

I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Lessons are interactive, and I adapt my teaching style depending on how each student learns best.

Whether the goal is to build confidence, improve grades, or achieve top marks, my lessons are focused on helping students make consistent progress and feel more confident in their maths ability.
