I am offering to be both a private tutor and a mentor during your GCSE / A Level experience.
At GCSE, I achieved including a 9 in mathematics.
I recently completed A level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Latin, (results day on August 13th, I will update my grades here) and I am going to study Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Durham.
During my lessons with my students, we do whatever helps them the most. Whether this be going through past questions which they struggled with, running through a past paper, or teaching a topic from scratch.
Personally, I take pride in valuing a tutee-centred style, in which I am very flexible as to how the tutee wishes to be taught, whether this requires in-person lessons or anything in particular.
I usually tutor via an online whiteboard, while my student uses a pen and paper or uses the whiteboard with me.
I have a lot of experience tutoring classmates and tutees mathematics. One of my tutees recently completed GCSE mathematics, smashing her target grade and excelling. She commented that I had helped her massively, not only in her understanding of mathematics, but also trusting her abilities and increasing confidence in her approach to difficult questions.
As regards my personal studying journey, I have always excelled and been fascinated by mathematics, throughout my entire school career. I competed in various olympiads, collecting 8 UKMT gold certificates, competing in Ritangle competitions and Integral bees.
I am super excited to tutor you and begin my mathematics and philosophy degree at Durham!!
