Charles Micolet

I am a native French speaker and postgraduate student, currently completing an MSc in Political Science (Global Politics) at the London School of Economics. My academic path has taken me through a BSc in Political Economy at Bocconi University in Milan and an MSc in Management at ESCP Business School, giving me a broad foundation across politics, economics, history and business.

Alongside my studies, I have worked professionally in Debt Capital Markets at Commerzbank in Paris and in ESG Debt Capital Markets at NatWest Markets in Amsterdam, as well as completing a legal internship at Gide Loyrette Nouel focused on finance and infrastructure. This combination of academic depth and real world professional experience shapes how I teach and mentor.

As a tutor, I offer support across several areas: French language, where I focus on building genuine fluency and confidence rather than rote learning; History and Geography, drawing on a strong grounding in political economy; Political Science, covering political theory, international relations and current affairs; and university admissions guidance, helping students navigate personal statements, interviews and application strategy for UK and European universities. I also work with students and young professionals on CV and cover letter review for finance careers, drawing directly on my own experience in investment banking and debt capital markets.

I adapt my approach to each student, whether the goal is exam success, deeper conceptual understanding, or preparing for a competitive application or interview. Based in London, I bring both an international academic background and hands on professional insight to every lesson.
