I offer my first session for free! My sessions consist of fun in depth sessions, moving always at the students pace. All of my students are able to progress leaps and bounds within their education often taking grades from 3’s to 7’s (GCSE). All sessions rely on the active recall method making sure that students are able to learn at their own pace and master material without viewing it as a massive challenge. The way it operates within practice is: students are presented with material, I then evaluate how well the student has revived the information, from that point the material will then be revisited in a week to 5 weeks. No matter how well the child has mastered the material it will still be revisited this is to prevent the forgetting curve. However before beginning with this method i always evaluate your child’s learning style within the first free session, hence this method can be subject to change based off of the child. As someone who has previously worked with SEN children I am very used to having to mix learning styles in order to create a specialised plan per child.
