About me

I have been a performing arts teacher for 15 years and in that time demonstrated excellence in communication. As a voice and acting coach it's vital to have an excellent command and understanding of the English language to be able to communicate effectively. I can help you develop your skills from novice to expert. As an expert in GCSE and A level Dance I can help you prepare for the written exam and the practical elements with one-on-one analysis of your performance and choreogaphy pieces.

In the first consultation session (free) we will establish your needs and targets and I will tailor lessons towards this over a 12 hour program. You can choose the frequency of lessons varying from one lesson a week to two or three. During this time I will also gain an idea of your preferred learning styles in order to cater for this and give you the best experience possible.

The lesson structure will take the standard pattern of starter activity, two main topics and a plenary to consolidate your learning. Each lesson will test the previous week's skills so private studying is essential to make quick progress. We can also decide if you would like some formative or summative assessment points to track your progress.

I can help you if you are preparing for an important presentation and want to impress with your communication skills in English by working on pronunciation, dialect, accent and intonation. We will have you confidently communicating in no time. Equally I can help you get to grips with subject terminology and improve your analytical, interpretive and evaluative writing skills.

I’ve had a lot of fun learning with Ms Ceris. She taught me since Year 8 and I’ve learnt so much different elements of dance in 2 years. Even thought some practices were hard and tiring, every output the performances that we did came out amazing. She made me overcome my fears through dance and allowed me to express myself. Overall having ms Ceris as my teacher for years has been a great Memory.
