I tutor Biology and Maths to National 5/GCSE level as well as German, my native language. (I also tutor SQA Higher Biology). I am a very enthusiastic tutor and aim to make every lesson enjoyable by sharing my passion for Maths, German and the Sciences. I have tutored well over 500 lessons and have received consistent 5-star reviews from students and parents/guardians. My most recent success stories include my 3 most recent students receiving offers for all the schools/universities they had applied to, including sixth form schools in America!

Throughout high school, I really enjoyed Biology, in particular Human Biology as I was lucky enough to have a great teacher. This made me realise how beneficial it is to learn and study a subject in which the learning process is enjoyable. I strongly believe that everyone has their own style of learning and understand it is important to find methods that work best for each and every student to fulfil their full potential.

I prefer to format my lessons more like a back and forth conversation rather than a lecture. I aim to include as many interactive components as possible and include past paper questions to practice regularly. I like to let the student lead on the initial list of topics they would like to work on which we then adapt and add to as we need throughout our lessons. I am also a big fan of mnemonics and alternative ways of understanding topics. If you don't understand a concept the first time round, I make it my mission to find alternatives until it makes sense!
