I'm a warm, dedicated tutor with over 7 years experience and 2 years teaching at top London private school CLSG, (City of London School for Girls). Bilingual in English and Spanish, I achieved a First-Class degree in French from the University of Oxford, followed by an MA in Acting from The Royal Central school of Speech and Drama. My background as an Oxford graduate, actor and drama teacher has informed my engaging, adaptive and empathetic approach. Across all ages and academic ability, I like to bring a sense of fun to lessons and instill a genuine love of learning. I believe establishing a strong rapport and developing an approach that is tailored to the individual student is fundamental for guaranteeing academic progress.

I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level English and French and am currently tutoring French Literature to an Oxford undergraduate student. My engaging and intellectually stimulating sixth form enrichment courses at CSLG were a highlight of the students’ timetable and provided invaluable enrichment for Oxbridge applicants. I also specialise in 11+ and 13+ entrance exams across English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and Maths.

I understand that essay based subjects don't come naturally to everyone and encourage students to draw on skills from disciplines they feel more confident in. For example I help reframe English analysis through the familiar logic of STEM: identifying patterns in motifs, imagery, and structure much like spotting trends in data, and testing interpretations as hypotheses against textual evidence. I guide them to approach essays with the clarity and precision of a formula, breaking paragraph construction into reliable, repeatable steps. This method builds confidence by showing that English has its own form of systematic problem-solving that they already know how to do.
