Peripatetic Music Teacher with Catherine Eden, Would you like to learn flute, piano, voice or recorder? Learn how to go from never playing an instrument to being a proficient and skilled musician in fun filled lessons. I cater for all ages and abilities!

I have experience of teaching within a school setting, in addition to helping teach choristers in local churches. Prior to teaching music peripatetically, I studied for a BMus (hons) in Music performance studying flute and piano at the University of Chichester conservatoire graduating in 2022 with a First Class Degree. I have achieved diploma in flute and Grade 8 in piano and voice.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and encouraging and I tailor my lessons to each individual student, adapting my teaching to each student's age, ability and musical interests. I create a welcoming and positive environment where my students can develop their confidence while building a strong musical foundation in their learning.

Lessons can include, playing duets alongside each other to create an interactive and enjoyable experience. We can work through pieces that students may be learning, helping them improve their technique, musical expression, rhythm and timing. I always encourage students to choose pieces they are interested in learning, whether that is Disney, film, popular or classical music or any other genre.

I have experience working with all ages, always aiming to create an enriching and engaging lesson while supporting students' progress at a pace that is right for them. Whether a student is learning for enjoyment, preparing for an exam or wanting to develop their playing further. I will help them build their confidence and musical skills, making lessons both rewarding and enjoyable.
