I have a Post Graduate degree in teaching Science and I have studied Anatomy and Human Biology and the University of Liverpool
I have a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to teaching and like to coach resilience and perseverance and work with my students to help them work towards their academic goals .
I have experience of teaching students up to the age of 18 years old in school settings and I have coached adult learners online.
I have spent the last 5 years teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3, KS4, GCSE and A-level and have up-to-date knowledge on curriculum and experience with practical and knowledge based concepts.
I enjoying helping students to master science through breaking down concepts into smaller skills and facts, finding links between familiar concepts and figuring out manageable steps to progress.
During my lesson I prefer to use a blend of different format from note-taking, probing questions, conversational dialogue to help dissect and progress students’ learning and regular assessments of learning where importance will be placed on the use of scientific language.
I particularly like mathematical and practical aspect of science and where possible this will feature during sessions, such as drawing and labeling different graphs, calculating kinetic energy and finding a mean from a set of data.
I am a dedicated and compassionate tutor who aims to support my students in the best way possible, allowing them to achieve and exceed the academic goals they have set for themselves.
