I have a strong academic background in mathematics, currently studying A Levels in Mathematics and Further Mathematics at King’s Maths School, with a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics. I have also achieved Gold awards in the UKMT Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Mathematics Challenges, which has developed my logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and confidence in tackling unfamiliar questions.
My key strength as a tutor is explaining maths clearly and patiently. I break topics down into simple, structured steps, check understanding regularly, and adapt my explanations to suit each student’s learning style. I focus on building strong foundations first, then gradually increasing difficulty so students gain both confidence and independence.
In my lessons, I help students with KS3, GCSE, mathematics, including exam preparation, homework support, and strengthening weak areas such as algebra, geometry, and problem solving. I teach students how to approach questions methodically, avoid common mistakes, and apply their knowledge effectively in exams.
Through volunteering and leading roles in extracurricular activities, I have developed strong communication skills and a calm, supportive teaching style. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students feel confident and capable in mathematics.
I aim to make lessons engaging, interactive, and focused on real understanding rather than memorisation.
