I'm currently a student at Oxford University studying Physics and Philosophy and have just completed my first year. I have A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Philosophy and am passionate about teaching physics and maths both to students who need extra help or students who want to expand their knowledge and aim for A*s.
I will give sessions which depend on the needs of the student. If you are looking for a tutor who will teach A-Level or GCSE content for maths or physics, I can give structured lessons based on the specification for the exam board your school is using. This will involve a mixture of explaining concepts, going through example questions and giving the student practice questions to try themselves. Alternatively, if you are looking for a tutor who can help with revision, the sessions will be more focused on encouraging the student to recall their knowledge of the topics, as well as exam practice using past paper questions.
I can also help to prepare a student for the physics and maths sections of the entrance exams for Oxford and Cambridge (ESAT), as well as give mock interviews and interview advice. Preparation for the entrance exams may involve teaching content (depending on what the student has learned so far) and going through past paper questions together.
The sessions will be on Zoom, and I will be using Miro, a digital whiteboard (the student does not have to have Miro). I'm very flexible this summer and am willing to give as many sessions as needed by the student.
