My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I believe that no two learners are the same, so I adapt the format and content of my sessions to match your goals, interests, and level of experience. Whether you are preparing for graded exams, working towards a performance, or simply learning for enjoyment, I will help you build both confidence and skill.
A typical lesson balances three key elements: technical development, musical understanding, and creative exploration. We usually begin with warm-ups and exercises to strengthen technique, followed by focused work on pieces chosen either by you or recommended by me. I encourage active discussion about style, interpretation, and performance skills, and I often integrate music technology where relevant to broaden your learning experience. For younger learners, I incorporate interactive activities to keep lessons fun and dynamic, while more advanced students benefit from detailed feedback and strategies for independent practice.
With a degree in Music and Music Technology, A-level Music, and over six years of teaching experience, I bring both academic knowledge and practical expertise to my teaching. My background has given me the ability to work with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more experienced musicians. Above all, I strive to create a positive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow as musicians.
