My teaching method is entirely bespoke, meaning I adapt my approach to suit the individual needs, pace, and learning style of each student. This flexibility allows me to effectively support both beginners and intermediate learners as they navigate their English language journey. Whether a student is just starting with the basics or looking to build upon existing knowledge, I tailor my lessons to ensure maximum engagement, understanding, and progress.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching children between the ages of 3 and 11, as well as adults who are new to the country and facing challenges in learning the English language. These lessons have taken place at our local church, where I’ve had the privilege of working with learners from diverse backgrounds. This role has been deeply rewarding and has helped me develop a nurturing, patient, and empathetic teaching style. These individuals come back with positive feedback and are now more confident in their speech.
One of the key strategies I rely on is the use of visual aids. I believe that incorporating images, charts, flashcards, and interactive materials plays a significant role in keeping young learners engaged and attentive. Visual learning not only helps in retaining new information but also makes the lessons more enjoyable and relatable.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow. Every learner is unique, and by acknowledging that, I aim to provide lessons that are as effective as they are empowering.
