As a historian, my approach in class is always centered on the student's interests, but with a strong focus on Brazilian cultural and historical contexts. I usually introduce a piece of material—such as a song, video, article, or document—and use it as a starting point for discussion. I bring in questions to guide the conversation and encourage reflection. The goal is to explore the language in a meaningful and engaging way. From there, we work on vocabulary and grammar structures tailored to the student's language level.
