Hello! So about my lessons, you can book for a one hour or two hour session. The lessons will be held online via google meet. I have my iPad with me that acts as my whiteboard to aid me and the learner during the lesson. I have tonnes of resources that I have collected over the past 5 years that I send to the student via email and then we proceed with the lesson.
The lessons will be 1-on-1, to provide a focused learning environment in which a student can ask ask many questions as they want. The point of extra lessons is to show that you don't know whats going on, so that we can address it together.
I try to foster a healthy peer to peer/teacher relationship with my students, I have been tutoring for half a decade and this approach allows students to feel comfortable in my lessons which improves overall learning because they're not afraid to show that they don't know something.
I am a student still at university, studying Civil Engineering, so I am well versed in problem solving and complex problems, and that is one of my main focuses in the lessons, is not simply how to do the math, but why, why does the method work, why is it important to know this.
Another facet I focus on is gaining confidence in doing math. Math has rules and laws, theres a way things work and it always works that way. My goal for my students is to be able to get to the answer at the end of a question, and have confidence in the fact that its right.
