My lessons usually focus on one sub topic within the subject per week and we break down the lesson into teaching the content, offering examples or analogy’s and then opportunity for the student to test their understanding in either a game or activity. Following up we may include previous lessons and the current to tie together all of our knowledge and ensure the student fully understands. For example, if last week we covered metaphors and this week we are going over similes, i will offer a task where the student has to write and cover both similes and metaphors within the same letter, story or diary entry.
