Hello and welcome to my profile! ??

My name is Bruno, and I’m a certified English and Science teacher, passionate about helping students unlock their full potential — whether that’s improving their English, excelling in scientific subjects, or achieving the IELTS score they need to study abroad or for their professional career development.

I’m the founder of UNIK – University Experience, an educational organisation that supports international students in their journey to British universities. Over the past few years, I’ve helped hundreds of students successfully apply, prepare, and move to the UK, guiding them not only through English proficiency exams such as IELTS, but also through the academic and personal challenges of studying abroad.

?? I hold a PhD in Molecular Biology from Imperial College London, one of the world’s leading universities. My years in academia gave me the opportunity to teach and mentor students at different levels — from primary school learners to university undergraduates — and to develop a method that combines clarity, motivation, and confidence-building.

???? Before founding UNIK, I also worked as a certified English teacher at Wall Street English, where I refined my approach to language instruction and exam preparation. I’m bilingual in English and Italian: born and raised in Italy, I moved to London at 21, where I lived for seven years studying and teaching in an international environment. This experience shaped my ability to connect with students from different backgrounds and to adapt lessons to their individual goals and learning styles.

?? Whether your goal is to communicate fluently in English, prepare for academic studies abroad, or pass an English qualification, my lessons are structured to help you progress efficiently and confidently.

????? For students aiming to study abroad, I offer IELTS preparation courses that are both comprehensive and engaging.
These typically consist of 8-10 sessions of 2 hours each, covering all four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. You will learn not only the techniques needed to achieve a high score but also how to think and express yourself in academic English — a key skill once you begin university.

?? I also prepare students for Cambridge exams (such as the First Certificate), and for those who already speak English at a good level, I can help refine pronunciation, vocabulary, and fluency through conversation practice and professional writing exercises.

?? In addition, I offer proofreading and translation services, especially for scientific and academic texts, ensuring accuracy both in English style and scientific content.

????? With a solid background in molecular biology and years of experience in university teaching, I also provide customized Science lessons in English. These lessons are perfect for students who want to learn Science while improving their English skills.

?? My Science classes cover a wide range of topics including microbiology (bacteria, fungi, viruses), genetics and DNA, molecular techniques, plants and ecosystems, climate change, states of matter, and the solar system.

?? Each lesson is typically divided into a 45-minute interactive presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion and Q&A, helping students reinforce both scientific understanding and communication skills.

????? My teaching style focuses on curiosity, clarity, and interaction, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and connect scientific concepts to real-life applications.

Beyond English and Science, I also train students in soft skills through a specialised programme called SWIPS — Scientific Writing, Interview, and Presentation Skills.

This training is designed to help students and early-career professionals communicate confidently and effectively in academic and professional contexts.

?? Through SWIPS, you can learn how to:

? Write clear, structured, and persuasive scientific or academic texts.

??? Prepare for interviews, from university admissions to job applications.

?? Design and deliver presentations that engage and impress your audience.

Develop a strong understanding of audience awareness — knowing how to adapt your message for different situations and people.

These are the same skills that help my UNIK students stand out when applying to top British universities and during their studies abroad.

????? Teaching, for me, is more than a profession — it’s about helping others grow, communicate, and succeed. Every student has a unique story and a different way of learning, and I take pride in creating lessons that are both personalized and goal-oriented.

?? If you are preparing for university, looking to improve your English, or want to strengthen your science knowledge and communication skills, I’ll be happy to guide you through each step with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm.

?? Important Note Before Booking ??

? Please note that I don’t accept students who are only looking for one or two lessons right before an exam, interview, or any other urgent reason.

The trial lesson is a crucial part of my teaching process: I use it to assess your current level, understand your objectives, and design a personalized learning plan that fits your goals. Whether you’re aiming for a 7.5+ in IELTS, want to speak confidently in business meetings, or need to ace your dream job interview, I’ll prepare tailored materials and a step-by-step plan to help you succeed.
