My lessons are dynamic, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are learning Portuguese or English as a second language. I follow the Communicative Approach, which means our focus is on real-life communication from the very beginning. Every class integrates the four key skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, so students develop balanced and practical language abilities.

I usually start lessons with a short warm-up to review previous content and build confidence. Then, we move into guided practice using authentic materials such as short texts, dialogues, or everyday situations. Grammar and vocabulary are always taught in context, making them easier to understand and apply naturally. I also include interactive activities like role-plays, problem-solving tasks, and personalized exercises based on the student’s interests.

I understand that speaking a new language can feel intimidating, so I create a supportive and patient environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. As students become more confident and less unsure, I gradually introduce simple conversation-focused lessons to help them speak more fluently and naturally.

With experience teaching different levels, especially beginners and A2 learners, I know how to adapt my pace and methods to each student. My goal is to make learning engaging, effective, and enjoyable, helping students feel comfortable using the language in real-life situations from day one.
