Hello, I'm Bruna Castiel. I'm Brazilian and currently living in the Netherlands. I have a degree in Art Education with a specialization in Performing Arts (2013), and I have experience as a theater teacher in courses, schools, workshops, and workshops for students of different ages, as well as a private Portuguese and literature teacher for teenagers. Now I am studiying more about teaching Portuguese.

My methods are not static. They are flexible and adaptable, all depending on the student I'm dealing with, their personality, goals, needs, level, and availability. What is fundamental for me is to create an atmosphere of trust and comfort, where the student feels free to make mistakes without being judged, while respecting their personality.

I also have years of experience as an actress and theater teacher, so art, music, movies, literature, pop culture, social media, TV series, anime, and manga can be used as starting points to develop skills. Whether it's in conversation, learning expressions or slang, and how to speak a more informal Portuguese, or whether it's in literacy or it's at an advanced level, focusing on writing, spelling, or a more formal Portuguese, an environment of trust that takes into account the student's personal preferences while presenting new things will always be ideal.


Audio materials made by myself will be provided so that the student can listen to pronunciation, In addition to texts, tasks, and activities.

I take special care when dealing with people who are shy and insecure in their learning.
