Lessons will be 1-2 hours every week held remotely on Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. Students will need a notebook, pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, protractor, compass, calculator, a stable internet connection, a PC and a PC camera. I will be display the premeditated presentations on my screen and any explanations and workings using an online whiteboard. After every lesson, a resulting assignment will be set on Google Classroom, it is the students responsibility to complete those assignments between each lesson. In order for the student to do this, they must have set up an account on google classroom and joined the tutor class setup.
The first lesson will be an introduction, the second will be a small assessment that will be marked and reviewed within the lesson in order to analyse strengths and weaknesses; weaknesses will be what the next lessons will cover in order to fill necessary gaps in knowledge. Then after that, another small assessment will be carried out and weaknesses will again be identified. This cycle continues until here are no further weaknesses of note.
If the student is preparing for GCSE's, necessary past paper exam questions will be integrated into every lesson and assignment. With timed past paper assessments occurring after every 3-4 weeks. If the students has upcoming mock or proper exams, every lesson will be catered to enhancing exam technique.
It would be recommended if the students do have access to a printer as well that would be fabulous, as it would be easier to mark and answer questions, but it is completely fine if not.
