I share my resources with you in the lesson.
Most are in presentation style; PowerPoint or Google slides.
Lessons always begin with sharing our learning objective and completion of retrieval starter /warm up activities to get our mathematical brain going.
This is usually done on mini whiteboard so that you can share your thought processes. It can prompt my questioning too, so that I can check your learning or ask you some hinge questions.
Then I introduce the concept that you are learning about eg. Pythagoras’ theorem-the what, why and how we use it followed by examples. After I model a few examples, I test your understanding and give you a go.
Then we can do further work out/ practice and extension /stretch questions.
You will get the opportunity to ask me any questions at the end and summarise what we will be covering in the next lesson.
