Once the trial session is complete and they choose to continue, we would move forward with the first full tutoring session. At this stage, I would create a personalised learning plan tailored to their individual needs, goals, and pace of learning, ensuring it is both realistic and effective. I believe it is important to adapt each session to suit the student, as everyone learns differently.
Throughout the tutoring process, I would take time to understand any obstacles or challenges they may be experiencing, whether academic or confidence-based, and work with them to overcome these in a positive and encouraging way. By the end of the tutoring period, my aim would be for the student to feel more confident in their schoolwork, have a clearer understanding of the subject, and recognise how the tutoring sessions have supported their progress and made a meaningful impact on their learning.
