My lessons are designed to be clear, interactive, and above all, tailored to the individual needs of each student. As an ICAEW Chartered Accountant with experience working at a Big 4 firm and managing client relationships, I understand both the academic and practical challenges that come with studying accountancy. This perspective allows me to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring my students not only succeed in exams but also gain skills they can apply in the workplace.

A typical lesson begins with a short recap of the previous session to reinforce learning and highlight areas that may need more attention. From there, we move into new material, breaking it down step by step so that even complex concepts feel manageable. I like to use a combination of worked examples, practice questions, and real-life case studies from my professional experience to bring the subject matter to life. This approach helps students see how abstract ideas connect to real-world situations, making accountancy both practical and engaging.

My teaching style is interactive rather than one-directional. I encourage students to ask questions, challenge ideas, and work through problems in a supportive environment. Feedback is immediate, so mistakes become learning opportunities rather than setbacks. By focusing on active participation, I help students build confidence in their own ability to apply knowledge independently.

For students preparing for qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or ICAEW exams, I place strong emphasis on exam technique, time management, and understanding how to approach different question types. For university students, I ensure modules are broken down into accessible parts, focusing on both comprehension and application. For professionals looking to strengthen workplace skills, I adapt lessons to practical scenarios they may encounter in their roles.

Above all, my aim is to make accountancy accessible, understandable, and even enjoyable. With the right guidance and a structured approach, I believe every student can make steady progress and achieve their goals. My role is not just to teach but to support, motivate, and equip students with the tools they need for success.
