I have found that teaching needs to be catered and addressed differently for each student depending on their personal needs, learning habits, and goals. I take the initiative to learn and understand what my students need in order to fully understand how to approach lessons so that the student can benefit the most from each lesson. The key for me to be a successful tutor to my students is understanding how they learn best and cater to their learning styles. Furthermore, I understand that sometimes lessons take multiple approaches for a student to fully understand the concept and not just fall into a memorizing learning pattern. I ensure to provide in depth lessons that will lead to students obtaining optimal understanding and a new level of confidence surrounding the learning goals.

My experience in teaching has stemmed from tutoring younger students in areas of Math and English. I have helped some students that have struggled in school to catch up to the expected level of learning and some students who were progressing positively to exceed the expected levels and strive for more advanced goals. With both types of students it is equally important to understand their goals and learning styles to help deliver the most effective results.

My motivation from tutoring stemmed from a tutor I had in early education who, in helping me advance my skills in one subject taught me how to learn more effectively in all subjects. This is the goal I strive to achieve with all my students to make them better in all aspects of education.
