My lessons are student centred, engaging, and focused on skills and knowledge that the individual needs!

II use a range of skills and expertise from my Primary Teaching experience to provide experiences that mean that my students achieve at an accelerated rate. I have an intensive understanding of the UK English Curriculum, and have a treasure trove of resources to pull from. I love to work with students that are positive, engaged, eager to learn and be their best.

My lessons always start with a catch up chat about our week. Quickly followed by a quick review of what we have been learning over the past few lessons. Next we move to the introduction of a new concept and we have lots of practise with this based on what I have noticed my student needs lots more practise on. We read it, say it, write it, play games. My students particularly love that for the Reading component, they tell me an idea, and I write a story for them to read using the sounds that they are currently working on. We've had all kinds of funny stories to read during lessons.

After this, it's up to my students to show me how amazing they are, and show me what they have learned!

To finish up the lesson, we always play a game. Sometimes it is a learning game such as hangman, or another word game. Other times we play Pictionary, 21 questions, or other games. I let my students decide.
