I've taught students from a variety of backgrounds and across the full range of ages in my 34-year career. I've now moved away from the classroom but I still enjoy teaching Science, except now it is 1-to-1 online. I'm married with 3 grown-up children and when not tutoring, my main hobbies are fishing and playing board games.

My lessons run through Google Meet and are an hour in length. I try to use as many different types of resources as possible to allow students to access the concepts. I like to set a small preparatory task for the students before a session so we can hit the ground running and get the most benefit from our tutoring time. I'm happy to give monthly feedback to parents about what the sessions covered and how they went.

After so many years in the job, I'm comfortable tutoring at either Key Stage 3 or 4 (regardless of exam board).
