I like to teach student mathematics with various strategies. For example, using hands-on and practical approaches such as objects/toys for kindergarten students to aid in their comprehension of how to count, add and subtract. I also utilize educational videos to engage the students in the materials being studied. It can be in the form of arts and crafts but maths based or practical YouTube videos.
At the end of my classes, I merit students on their progress whether it’s a sweet treat, a sticker on their work, an activity or words of praise. This helps them feel comfortable to open up and ask me questions and come to class ready to tackle the next problem onwards!
