I'm passionate about making primary maths clear, engaging, and even fun for your child. My teaching approach is built on patience and understanding, focusing on building confidence through interactive lessons. I believe every child can grasp mathematical concepts when they're taught in a way that truly clicks, using relatable, real-world examples and hands-on activities to ensure a solid understanding of foundational skills. We'll work through topics step-by-step, making sure no child feels overwhelmed.
My journey with mathematics began with achieving an A in O-Level Maths, followed by A-Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. This strong foundation led me to pursue a BEng in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and further, an MSc in Automotive Engineering. This academic path has given me a deep, practical, and intuitive understanding of mathematical principles, demonstrating how maths underpins real-world problem-solving.
While my formal education provides a robust knowledge base, my true passion lies in simplifying complex ideas for young learners. For years, I've had the joy of helping my nieces, nephews, and my own daughter not just complete their maths homework, but truly understand it. This hands-on experience has given me valuable insight into common challenges young learners face and how to patiently guide them to success. I'm excited to help your child discover their inner mathematician and build a positive relationship with numbers!
