As a Master's degree holder in Psychology, I have had the privilege of mentoring students in their first and second year of college, helping them grasp difficult concepts such as psychological testing, psychopathology, and social psychology.

One of my primary goals as a tutor is to create an environment of application-based learning. Rather than simply memorizing theories and concepts, I believe that it is important for students to understand how these ideas apply in real life situations. To achieve this, I use a variety of teaching methods, including real-life case studies, research papers, and audio-visual aids.

Case studies are an excellent tool for helping students apply the concepts they learn in class to real-life scenarios. By analyzing actual case studies, students can gain a deeper understanding of how psychological principles apply to everyday life. This not only helps them better understand the material but also gives them valuable experience in applying these concepts in practical situations.

Research papers are another important resource that I utilize in my tutoring sessions. By reading and analyzing published research studies, students can gain an appreciation for the scientific process and understand how researchers design and conduct studies to answer specific questions. This not only helps them understand the material but also prepares them for more advanced studies in the field.

Finally, I use audio-visual aids such as videos and interactive presentations to keep my students engaged and to make complex concepts more accessible. I find that these types of aids are particularly helpful for visual learners, who may struggle with more traditional lecture-style teaching.

In conclusion, my goal as a psychology tutor is to help students understand and apply the concepts they learn in class to real-life situations.
