English teacher dedicated to helping learners achieve their language goals. Specialising in improving conversational English skills as well as a focus on teaching business English for those who need it.
After a year of traveling through South America and connecting with its people, I developed a strong desire to teach English. Inspired by my own experiences learning a language, I’ve seen first-hand how powerful and essential communication is, and I aim to help others gain the skills they need to reach their personal and professional goals.

I began my English teaching journey in 2024 when I arrived in Bogotá and was offered a role teaching Business English to adult learners at TGS Idiomas. Although I had no prior experience, the opportunity gave me a first step into the world of teaching and deepened my desire to pursue it as a career.
In May 2024, I completed a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate with World TESOL Academy. The intensive course not only provided me with essential teaching tools but also opened my eyes to a deeper understanding of my native language.
By July 2024, I joined Dame Tu Lengua, a cultural centre and language school in Bogotá, where I facilitate conversational workshops on culturally relevant topics while also guiding learners in grammar and communication skills.
My development as an English teacher has come primarily through hands-on experience. I believe I learn best in the classroom, reflecting after each lesson on how to improve the next. Over time, I’ve grown greatly in my ability to plan lessons tailored to students’ needs, identify and address their weaknesses while celebrating their strengths, and provide clear explanations on the spot when concepts aren’t understood. I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and remain dedicated to encouraging students’ growth and motivating them to keep pushing forward in their language journey.

Alongside my work at Dame Tu Lengua, I launched my own business venture providing Business English training to professionals across Colombia. Through this, I’ve delivered private lessons to students from diverse fields and worked closely with a group of vice presidents at Banco de Occidente in Bogotá. With them, I focused not only on financial and business English but also on designing engaging lessons that highlight the joy of learning a language.

Today, I continue to grow as an educator with a strong focus on development and improvement. I’m always seeking the next opportunity to support learners with compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help them succeed.
