Hi!
I’m currently an undergraduate studying Physics. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and an A in A-level Maths, so I’m very familiar with both the content and how the exams work.
My lessons are fairly relaxed but still organised. I usually start by seeing what the student is comfortable with and what they find tricky, then focus on those areas. Once a student is confident with a topic, I go through exam-style questions step by step, making sure they understand all parts of the question.
I always encourage students to ask questions, even if they think they’re “obvious” ones. If something doesn’t make sense, I’m happy to explain it in a different way or slow things down. I try to adapt how I teach depending on the student, as everyone learns maths slightly differently.
I’m patient and approachable, and my main aim is to help students feel more confident with Maths rather than stressed or overwhelmed by it. Over time, that confidence usually leads to better understanding and stronger exam results.
