Bhakti Deodhar

I am a committed teacher and offer substantial experience in educating diverse groups of students that include mature learners, secondary school pupils and undergraduate students. While teaching langugage courses to mature adults, I developed a number of stratgies in engaging with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and learning abilities, offering them support to balance their busy work lives with studying and motivating them to pursue high quality learning. This is an association, that I have kept alive enthusiastically till date.

Alongside my substantial teaching record abroad, I bring on board recent experience of teaching secondary school pupils in the UK. While working with Action Tutoring, I have been taking a number of online tutoring assignments to provide targeted support and raise attainment among educationally disadvantaged pupils in a number of schools across England.

In the post-pandemic environment, I have been proactively integrating multimedia resources in teaching. I am adept at working with VLE platforms and an avid user of smartboards, edu-tech tools including Kahoot, Mentimeter to produce interactive quizzes that make learning engaging and fun.
