The content of my tutoring will be about your story, what interest you, for example, what subject matter you would most like to learn and discuss, and whether the pupil wishes to discuss their hobbies, likes and dislikes, their own personal journey in life and where they came from. etc. I would also like to teach the differences in meanings of words that sound alike but mean different things all depending on what context you using. It is also about listening skills, being able to have a conversation, and writing up what the students have learned. during my one-to-one voluntary tutoring, I used these skills as outlined to build confidence in the individual students and to be able to have a discussion and write up what they have learned. On the whole, there are different learning styles that an individual has, for example, visual, auditory, listening, doing, and in some cases, some pupils will either be auditory and visual or auditory and communicating whilst making notes or actively listening. During these lessons, I find that each student often found their own way of learning and picking up the English language, through communicating with others, and also watching a film, reading articles which are in English, and watching television dramas and soaps. Many also pick up the local dialect whilst living and learning English in the areas, in which they are located. This gives them an understanding of the many different meanings and ways of words used in the English language.
