I am an enthusiastic, kind, and dedicated individual with a Master’s degree in Psychology and over two years of experience teaching and supporting children and young people. I am skilled in promoting wellbeing, managing behaviour, and tailoring support to meet individual learning needs.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity and patience. My lessons are broken down into small, and simple steps to support understanding. I am a good listener and an effective communicator, and I am always willing to explain concepts repeatedly, using different means, until understanding is achieved. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner’s level and specific coursework requirements.
I am also happy to introduce and teach a range of psychology modules, including the biological basis of behaviour, developmental and social psychology, research methods, statistical analysis, individual differences, and methods of collecting data.
I am deeply committed to empowering learners, fostering inclusion, and building positive, trust-based relationships. I currently work as a Learning Support Assistant in a SEND school and am particularly passionate about tutoring children and young people with additional needs.
My lessons are structured yet flexible, designed to suit each student’s learning style and pace. Sessions typically begin with an introduction or a brief recap, followed by clear and detailed explanations of new concepts using a step by step method, and real-life examples. I encourage questions throughout and regularly check understanding to make sure students feel confident before moving on. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and judgement-free, creating a safe space where students can learn, make mistakes, and grow in confidence.
