Hi there,
I am an English teacher with 4 years of experience under my belt and I have a major in English teaching and a minor in Portuguese teaching by Rovuma University. I teach English communicatively and in my classes my students engage with one another by working in activities such as roleplays, information-gap tasks, discussions, matching and taable-filling exercises, information transfer tasks, , surveys, sentence building, jumbled texts and many game-like activities that cover all four language skills. My classes are all based in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method although I also call on another teaching methods throughout each of my classes.
All my lessons are gingerly planned in accordance with my students' needs, levels and interests and in my English classes the learners take the centre stage and practice not only English grammar and vocabulary but their communication skills, above all, by studying all kinds of topics from introductions, hobbies, sports, entertainment, foods, clothes, jobs and occupation, family to office life, movies, news, culture, social media, common idioms, phrasal verbs, collocations, tongue twisters and confusing words among other topics.
