I firmly believe that teaching is a two-way process. Whether I'm in a classroom or online, I will create a dialogue so the pupils/tutees feel involved in the process and are able to question, inquire and verbalise what we are learning.

Very few people learn by being told something once, so my tutoring sessions are generally about discovery, mastery and learning side by side to answer the big questions along with my years of expertise providing the content.

I have worked in education for 13 years in all sorts of settings, with a huge range of pupils. My track record is impressive and I firmly believe I can help anyone improve significantly at my subject.

I am happy to work with any exam board, but my specialism is with AQA English literature and language at both GCSE and A Level - I'll work with any texts. I have taught in non-selective and selective secondary schools for my whole career, but have tutored dozens of primary pupils in the past as well.

I have also worked extensively in staff development, training teachers and helping institutions with whole-school pedagogical approaches.
