I have over five years of experience tutoring English literature and French. In addition to my tutoring background, I have formal classroom teaching experience and have worked with students up to the age of 18. My time in the learning support department of an independent secondary school has also equipped me with the skills and confidence to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Currently, I’m a PhD researcher in Literary Studies at the University of Nottingham, with a strong academic background and a real passion for teaching. I hold a First-Class degree in English and French from the University of Exeter and a Master’s in Literary Studies. Alongside my research, I’ve spent several years tutoring and teaching, including working with students who have special educational needs (SEN).
I believe that learning should be accessible, engaging, and tailored to each individual. I love helping students grow in confidence and enjoy finding creative ways to make complex ideas easier to understand. Whether I’m teaching English, French, or helping with 11+ preparation, my aim is always to support every student in reaching their full potential.
My areas of expertise include English literature and language, as well as French. I am experienced with English exam boards such as AQA, Pearson, and CCEA, and I also have a strong understanding of the 11 Plus curriculum.
