I used to be a software engineer, a financial engineer and an electronic engineer and am now trying to become a private tutor hoping to contribute to the community in a new way.
Part of my training equiped me with skills to explain to people why something work or not work and sometimes that involved math. Besides being a retail trading coach, I also love to build up problem solving skills on people around me, so they can solve math problems themselves. That involves logical thinking, identifying problems, derive analytical solutions and draw deductive conclusions. All these steps were acquired in my years of training starting from my high school math and science classes.
These skills are very teachable and I relate heavily to the happiness the learners feel when they start to grasp the skill and feel good about themselves. There is no other way more effective to build up one's confidence than to help them experience the sense of achievement and triumph.
The two key things to transfer to a student is the way to approach a problem and the questioning skills. Not until one can ask the right question can one solve the problem they are facing, and solving math is a pure logical quest that everyone having the right skill can enjoy, and it is very enjoyable when you know you can do it. My biggest hope in every lessons is to make my student happier when they leave than they were when they start that lesson. The joy of doing math is the fuel a student would need most to go further and do better.
Drop me a message and chat about your math problem, and see how we can make it a happy problem to solve.
